Okay people, why do so many of you not like wind turbines?!?!?!?! (no offense to those who do) They look perfectly fine to me. They are slim and modern and look great. It's not like they are replicas of the first computer!!!!! (I saw the photos. They are really big and bulky!!!!!!!!!) If the designs that are being used now ever do go out of style, the designers for them will come up with the latest and greatest thing so they look good again! Yes they are rather big, but that is just to maximise wind usage. Because if you were to have them down at our hieght it wouldn't be worse because there would be wind blowing around you in great gusts if you were to ever go up to one. Also all the wind is up higher, so how are you going to reach it if the turbines are down here?
Another big problem alot of people have, is the noise these turbines make. Yes they do create some ammount of noise, and yes the more there are the more noise there is but the turbines are out in the country, on farms, hills (in the country) and out at sea. Unless you are taking a road trip or a cruise the noise shouldn't bother you. (And cruise ships wouldn't want to run over them so they don't get very close to them any way).
Why would you want to stop these wind turbines being made and put up. They are most likly the best source of renewable energy, because sooner or later coal and oil is going to run out (and that will be in the next 100 years!!!) and we will need some way to keep up our ever rising energy needs, so the best idea would have to be wind energy.
So I don't care if they are big and noisy to you, they aren't to me, they are a wonderful way to create elctricity and every one needs electricity now!
